Giving back through employee programs and donations
Our success is directly attributable to the dedication of our year-round and seasonal employees. Without their hard work and care for the product that they are providing, we would not have be able to achieve what we have today. Broetje Orchards and its affiliates employ over 1,100 year-round staff, spanning the professions of pickers, pruners, packers and supervisors, to teachers, housing managers, early education specialists, store managers, and more.
Our belief is that every person has a God-given purpose and gifts to share, but that many times they lack the opportunity to discover and employ those gifts.
Some of the policies we follow at Broetje Orchards include:
a.) Providing family-friendly work policies.
- Limiting night shift so families can be home together.
- Limiting work hours per day.
- Accommodating parent involvement in school activities.
b.) Providing health care assistance (an on-site nurse practitioner and medical vans).
c.) Providing continuing education opportunities for employees and family members.
